Overview
We are looking for Ruby developers, responsible for building Ruby applications, including anything from complex groups of back-end micro services to command line utilities and data processing scripts. Primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and building quality products is essential. Will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Specific Skills
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Resque
- Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages "such as Liquid, Slim, etc depending on your technology stack"
- Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors "such as Sass, based on project requirements"
- Experience with popular web application frameworks "such as Rails, Lotus, etc depending on project requirements"
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
- A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code
- Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools "e.g. Git, Mercurial or SVN"
- Familiarity with development aiding tools "such as Bower, Bundler, Rake, etc"
- Familiarity with continuous integration
Responsible for
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code1
- Integration of data storage solutions "may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc."
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization
Additional Requirements
- Strong problem solving and coding skills are required;
- Good English communication skills;
- Interest in full stack programming is required;
- Experience with a version control system (preferably Git);
- Experience with MVC web and JacaScript development;
- Experience with relational databases is essential;
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of REST and SOA is a preferable;
